After ten years in the humanities and a handful of years in event planning, Bekah made the decision to change careers to web development after a traumatic event during the birth of her fourth child. She’s currently searching for jobs as she finishes out her bootcamp at Flatiron School, and she’s a member of Moms Can: Code. Her favorite time of the day is when she wakes up at 4:30 am, drinks two shots of espresso, and then codes until the kids wake up. When she’s not coding, she’s momming her four kids (9, 7, 4, 2) or writing screenplays for fun. Her favorite book is Kindred, and she credits podcasts and headphones for helping her to keep her house generally clean.
